Elizabeth Hevener, LPC
BACKGROUND & ETHICS
Elizabeth Hevener is our practicing clinical therapist and mental-health aficionado. With over 6 years of experience, Elizabeth has not met a client she did not see potential in. After just one session, she aims to give clients the confidence and hope for a better tomorrow.
Elizabeth has her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. After completing her 3,000 post graduate hours, she obtained a license in the state of Texas.
Elizabeth welcomes everyone regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, race, or ethnicity. No matter where you are in your mental health journey you are welcome, you matter, and your story matters.
Elizabeth has received the following certifications and continues to learn and grow as a clinician to provide the best care to all of her clients.
“I am so glad you're here. My name is Elizabeth and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. You have taken the hardest step in reaching out and we will work together to see that you cultivate a life that you don't have to run or hide from. In addition to traditional talk therapy, we will utilize proven modalities to create healthy change. You are in control and we go at your pace. I want to provide a safe space for you to be authentically you, to explore patterns and coping skills, and create a life that you brings authentic joy.
Play Therapy is my jam! I use play and sandtray therapy with clients of all ages (in addition to traditional talk therapy). Specializing in attachment based models working with adopted children and families, adult adoptees, and neurodivergent populations.
My goal is for you to walk away from session one with hope that tomorrow will be better. As we continue to work together, my hope and goal is that you will live a life that is rewarding and authentic to who you are.”
